Holiday Tales

MrK and I went to Snowdonia last week for a holiday with my family so I thought I’d share a few pics with you all. This may not be gardening but it is outdoorsy goodness!

The cottage we stayed in viewed from the lowest slopes of Moel Siabod with the Glyderau in the background:

It was Harebell season:

This hawthorn tree was clinging onto life in a crack in a rock on the Crimpiau:

As you can see in the background of this photo the heather was in flower and was just stunning. The scent was almost overpowering at times.

Llyn Idwal in the evening:

We had a lovely time which was very mentally restful if not physically so. Mountain walking and kayaking doesn’t give the muscles much rest from gardening so I almost feel like I need another holiday!

  4. Llyn Idwal looks wonderful – you almost expect an arm to appear, brandishing a sword… I am glad you had a lovely time, and you just missed some horrible storms, too.

  5. You were in North Wales! Next time come to north east wales, the Clwydians, Wales’s best kept secret. Wonderful picture of the lake!

  6. That does look rather like stepping into a fairy tale – the sword – and all.
